Examples of Learning Objectives

Students are learning to take increasing responsibility for seeking and acting on help and guidance about physical education, school sport and physical activity (PESSPA) tasks when appropriate.

Students receive and act on verbal instructions/teaching points (TPs) given to them by PESSPA staff (eg ‘Run this way. Stay inside the blue cones. When I shout “stop”, get off the apparatus carefully and sit on the floor.’).

Students consider what might happen if they:

  • do not listen carefully to instructions
  • cannot remember all the instructions
  • do not know what the instructions mean.
