Examples of Learning Objectives

Students are learning to take increasing responsibility for developing and maintaining correct joint alignment in their own and others’ exercise technique.
(See Chapter 2, Section 9, page 163.)

Students take part in a simple movement tasks to help them to name joints and decide how they move; for example:

  • ‘Show me how your elbows move.’
  • ‘Show me how your knees move.’
  • ‘Show me how your shoulders move.’
  • ‘Show me how your spine moves.’
